FAQ

What if my equipment does not work?
We do not budget time into the course for repairs.
We recommend that you bring at least one tested firearm/ammunition combination. If possible, bring a back up gun in case your gun goes down.
We have properly equipped shotguns for rent if you don't have one of if your gun breaks $50/day.

What if there is a training prerequisite and I have not previously trained with Kai Tac Defensive Solutions?
Our courses are designed to build upon previously learned and developed skills. For this reason, we do not make exceptions for the pre-requisite training. If you feel you meet the pre-requisite training from previous training with other instructors or schools, contact us and upon satisfactory verification of your training and experience, you will be welcome to join the class.
Additionally, every course either has a warm up course of fire or ongoing evaluation, where our instructors look for proper skills representative of stated ability. Vet yourselves properly.

What if the course is cancelled?
Kai Tac Defensive Solutions rarely cancels a class.
If we cancel a class prior to the date of the course due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control, you may either ask for a refund or apply the course fee to a future course. If weather forces us to cancel a course once started, we will issue a credit for a future course.

What happens if I need to cancel?
Your payment ensures your place in a class, which very often has more people that wish to attend than there are spots available. For this reason, please plan your time carefully, when you commit to coming. No monetary refunds are given for student cancellations. If the student does not finish the course for any reason other than medical emergency, no credit will be given.

If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late, there is no way to catch you up to the class, you will be asked to reschedule at a later date and a credit will be issued.

If a student no-shows, all fees paid are forfeit.
(verifiable emergency situations will be considered)

What if I have a safety concern?
We want to hear it! If we are not actively conducting a drill bring it up to an RSO, A/I or the LFI.  If we are conducting a drill call “cease fire” raise your non-shooting hand and an A/I will address your concern. Safety is paramount.
