Michael A. Connor, R.N.
Michael A. Connor, R.N. began his firearms training in 2013 in Sarasota, FL. His mentor and firearms instructor encouraged him to become an NRA instructor and he was certified in 2016. Since that time Mike trains consistently in gunfighting techniques and seeks out other instructors and course work in pistol, carbine, shotgun & combatives.
As a nurse clinician Mike worked primarily in the Operating Room with some experience in Intensive Care and E.R. He utilized that clinical experience as an educator for surgical consulting and medical device manufacturers teaching surgeons and allied healthcare providers new surgical techniques & instructing/coaching surgical teams in the Operating Room.
He utilizes his experience in “hands-on” professional adult education” to train students learning to defend themselves. His Company is MCV Defensive Firearms Training (Defensive Pistol, Shotgun, Carbine, Self-Rescue).
Besides private instruction, Mike is Co-Developer / Co-Instructor with Thomas Daly of Kai Tac Defensive Solutions for: Introduction to Home Defense Shotgun Level 1 and Tactical Application of Home Defense Shotgun Levels 2-4.
